Dear Readers,
As all of you are aware, (Or at least I hope you are) The Christmas season is approaching. Now, there's one thing I never got. The Christ pushers insist we must celebrate the birth of Jesus. Others, the inspirationalists, (This group often overlaps into the first one) push the whole family love hugs thing. Atheists sit back and laugh at the sort of contradictive way Christians set up and worship decorated trees...
I understand all of these themes to the winter season. But I feel there is an under-lying spirit to all of these. That is: Unity. Think about it. Whole families who wouldn't normally speak to each other spend a day or to exchanging stories and presents. Friends who normally don't get the chance to spend time together get to see each other. Co-workers get along. Bosses aren't asses. The people walking down the street are friendly. Hell, Christmas itself is a symbol of union! Christmas started as Christians celebrating the birth of the Christ during a Pegan celebration.
Just a thought, I suppose..
Peace, Love, Harmony, and the best Holiday wishes,
-Me.
